Check out this fantastic tarmac and gravel driveway project that we have recently completed for Roger and Kim in Wythall.
Tarmac is the most popular material for driveways. It is renowned for strength and durability. This is why it is used in the construction of car parks and road surfacing. Creating a block paving border adds the WOW factor and kerb appeal as it provides a great contrast and a strong edge. The block paving edge prevents the tarmac from deteriorating over time where the edges are prone to weather damage. The benefit of Tarmac is that once finished it requires very little looking after or cleaning.
We replaced the grass area to make it maintenance free with decorative gravel. Decorative gravel is versatile and hard wearing but it also helps you create an effortlessly stylish space.

We moved in 6 years ago and the driveway was in an acceptable condition if a little tired looking. We decided to get the driveway revamped as long term I want it to be maintenance free.
I asked Sam to get rid of the curve in the drive as I like straight clean lines. Removing the grass area and replacing it with decorative gravel has eliminated the regular mowing, opened up the space for parking and it also looks great. The whole driveway looks so modern. It has completely modernised the look of the property.
The guys worked really hard on site. My only complaint is that they wasted the cup of tea I made them as they were working so hard they forgot to drink it lol.
