Check out this gorgeous block paving patio in Earlswood that we have recently finished for Ann. This was a tough job as it was during the heatwave and where the new patio is was a large pond with a concrete surround that all had to be dug out. Back breaking work in extreme heat but I’m sure you’ll agree the finished results were certainly worth the effort.
Ann chose Tobermore Tegula Trio blocks in Charcoal which were supplied by EH Smith in Shirley. You can see more of their range here.

I have been so pleased with the job and the lads worked terribly hard in what was horrible heat during the heatwave.
I moved into the property in 1966 and there was a large fish pond. I am not overly keen on fish and agreed with my husband that when the fish went the pond would go. The fish never went and every year would have a couple of babies. The concrete surround was cracking and the whole area was becoming an eyesore.
I was left with a choice to either remove the mesh covering and give the heron his breakfast (wouldn’t do that) or move the fish. My gardener Paul found them a lovely new home with one of his other clients in Stratford upon Avon and so I was able to proceed to get the pond removed.
I think that the finished results look wonderful and I have put a bench out there which I enjoy relaxing on in the garden. my next plan will be to get some nice pots and planters.
