Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This policy explains how we (“we”, “us”) use personal data about people who visit our website, contact us or become our customers. We are the data controller for this data. Our contact details are in the Our details section at the end of this policy.

2. What we collect and why

Enquiries. Details you give us through forms, email or phone, such as your name, contact details, address and project details. We use them to reply to your enquiry, quote and arrange visits. Our lawful basis is taking steps you ask us to take before a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We keep them for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any future work you ask us about.

Customer records. Quotes, invoices and correspondence. We use them to carry out the work and handle any aftercare. Our lawful basis is our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep financial records. We keep them for as long as needed to support the work, and at least as long as tax and legal rules require.

Website usage. Information such as your IP address, device, the pages you view and how you found us. We use it to understand and improve the website. Our lawful basis is your consent through our cookie banner. We keep it in line with our analytics provider’s retention settings.

News and offers. Your email address, where you have signed up or are a customer. We use it to send updates you can unsubscribe from at any time. Our lawful basis is your consent, or our legitimate interest for existing customers and people who have asked us for a quote. We keep it until you unsubscribe.

Call recordings. Where we record calls, we keep recordings and transcripts to keep accurate records and follow up enquiries. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in accurate records. We keep them for as long as needed for our records.

We may also use data where needed for legal claims, insurance, professional advice or to meet a legal obligation. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time. If you pay online, card details are handled by our payment provider and not stored by us.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only where needed, with:

  • our website and marketing agency, which runs our website, forms and customer records system for us
  • service providers we use for customer records, email, text messages, calls, analytics, advertising and website hosting
  • our payment provider, accountants, solicitors and insurers, where needed
  • the police, regulators or courts, where the law requires

Our providers act on our instructions and must keep your data secure. We never sell your data.

Some of our providers store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards required under UK law.

4. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Some rights apply only in certain situations. Contact us using the details in the Our details section below and we will reply within one month.

We do not make decisions about you using only automated processing.

5. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first using the details in the Our details section below. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond as quickly as we can. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

This website uses cookies to provide you with the best experience. Some cookies are essential for the website to function, while others help us understand how visitors use the site and improve our services. You can choose to enable or disable optional cookies at any time using the options below. Minimal cookies may still be stored to remember your preferences.

Necessary

These cookies are required for the website to function. They enable core features such as page loading, security and remembering your cookie preferences. You cannot disable these cookies.

Analytics

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are visited most often and how users navigate the site. When Analytics is enabled, we collect full analytics data to improve our site. If you disable Analytics, the website will still send basic, anonymised usage information so we can measure overall traffic levels, but no identifying data, tracking IDs, advertising identifiers or personal information are collected. This allows us to understand site performance without using full analytics cookies.

Marketing

Marketing cookies are used to deliver relevant adverts and measure advertising performance. These cookies may be set by third-party platforms such as Google Ads or YouTube. Marketing cookies are disabled unless you choose to enable them.
