Here at Ideal building and Landscapes we have just completed this complete driveway and patio transformation in Yardley Wood, Birmingham. Steve Watkins is over the moon and so are we. The before and after photographs show such a vivid transformation.
Steve wanted to move away from the old weed filled block paving that he had to tarmac. We created a two layer tarmac drive with Tobermore Tegular trio borders and at the rear for the patio we used Tobermore textured slabs in charcoal with a kerbstone border.
We asked Steve Watkins to give us his thoughts and opinions on his experience with us here at Ideal Building and Landscapes
I had block paving done at the property around 15 years ago. I wasn’t happy with it back then as I don’t think the contractor used enough hardcore and prepared the ground correctly. Over the years it started to sink and then weeds started to grow between the blocks which made it look scruffy and required constant maintenance. We never spent any money on the rear garden and I’m aware that over the years it had started to look a mess. We decided that if we were going to get work done on the outside then we may as well go for it and have the front and back done. I am aware of Sam the owner of Ideal building and driveways as he was at school many years ago with my daughters and he has done lots of work in the area. Sam came round to have a look and I could see he is very knowledgable and the price was fair and so I gave him the go ahead and so never bothered getting other quotes. Jason the team leader on the installation was fantastic and all the guys working our property are great. I will definitely recommend Ideal Building and Landscapes. A lot of of neighbours have already been over to have a look and are commenting on how great it looks.
