Here we are showcasing our latest garden patio installation for Grant Tonks and family in Hollywood, Birmingham.
Grant wanted to modernise his old patio that was spread over many levels, with each level being narrow and impractical. It was also looking tired and needed a refresh. Here we have created a modern patio. The patio area now has one large level patio space that is perfect for alfresco dining or sun loungers. Plenty of space to enjoy the sunshine.
We wanted to deal with a local company and I was particularly keen to give the work to someone young and still starting out. I spoke to a couple of companies but did not invite them to quote as they did not meet that criteria. I found Ideal Building and Landscapes in the local directory for Hollywood and Wythall and spoke to Sam. I had seen his vans locally as well and it later transpired that I used to go to school with his best friends dad.
I thought the project would be really expensive but Sam looking at the job was really confident and knew straight away exactly what we wanted. The existing patio was over 30 years old and not very practical. It had at least six or seven levels across three patio areas. The only real way to sit out on the patio was to have one of those small victorian style two seater tables and chairs. We wanted more space where we could sit and really relax. Sam quoted to bring the back of the garden up by nearly a foot and the front area down by around 18 inches to level the patio. Sam also quoted on new fencing. Now we have a gorgeous big patio space that can accommodate a large patio set. Nice summers ahead.
We visited Earlswood Garden and Landscaping centre to choose the tiles and really liked the black. I think that the lighter grouting really sets it off. Jason, Josh and Andy the installers were great. All were hardworking and friendly. I am pleased to recommend Ideal Building and Landscapes.
